Where are the mediators? Where are the guarantors? Where is the world? A catastrophe of unprecedented scale is unfolding in Gaza. Torrential rain is flooding the tents and causing homes to collapse after Israeli forces destroyed the infrastructure and continue to block the entry of machinery needed to clear the roads. Just moments ago, two residential buildings in the Tel al-Hawa and Al-Nasr neighborhoods collapsed — already weakened by the war, they could not withstand the heavy rain and the storm. Earlier today, a nine-month-old baby girl died from the severe cold while living in a tent, and tens of thousands of displaced families are now facing flooding, drowning, and the collapse of their makeshift shelters.
